Thank you for visiting!
This is a page all about me and what I do.  I have added a link to my personal website below after making the appropriate word changes for ebay's liking.  If you would like to view more of my art work, just click at the bottom of the page for Portraits by Shelly.
Mostly what I do is sculpt and paint Afghan Hounds on any and everything that paint will stick to.  Jackets and purses are what I paint on the most, but I do paint on canvas too, as you can see from the painting to the right.   I do paint other breeds of dogs upon request and sometimes I do list items with other breeds of dogs, but my heart remains with the Afghan Hound.
I currently have 1 very beautiful Afghan Hound,  She shows up in a lot of my art work, but not intentionally.

My art work has been published on book covers and cd covers. I am most proud of my art work comissioned by Josie Wilson, the original producer of the musical group The Ventures. I also did book cover art for Stacey Layne Wilson, daughter of Don Wilson from The Ventures and Grandaughter to Josie Wilson. These were non Afghan Hound related covers, but my most recent cover was on the book The Finishing Touch, by AKC Judge, Steve Serine. These book titles can be seen on my website under Book covers.
I have to say that ebay has helped build my exposure to people all over the world. I have made some of the best friends ever through my ebay sales, especially in Switzerland and Australia. My art work can now be found all over the world.
My newest hobby is sculpting Afghan Hounds and adding real Afghan Hound hair. You may be able to see a photo somewhere on this page. You can see 2 of them by checking back in my feedback history.
What else???

I have to say that painting has allowed me to be a stay at home Mom doing what I love to do by painting all day long. I also have a huge love for horses, Arabians in particular. I have 2 purebred Arabs and a larger pony that we have had since 1979! She's 34 something now. I do love drawing and painting horses and at one time in my life, that is ALL I would draw or paint.
Well, I think I have went on enough about ME.
