I first became interested in craft kits after buying one at a large craft store and having so much fun putting it together with my child. The problem was that there were only a few choices and it was rather expensive for us (like so many, we're on a strict budget!!). So I went on a mission to find some more kits at a decent price. I found that when i bought large quantities, i could get a good price, but who wants a bunch of the same thing, right? That's when i thought... hey, there are probably other parents/guardians/caretakers/grandparents out there who may just want one or a few different craft kits to complete with their child or a variety of different crafts to complete with their preschool/kindergarten/grade school class, so my idea for selling craft kits was born. I really love kids, and it's so much fun for me to offer something fun to do with children that doesn't break the bank!! Sending craft kits to people knowing that there is going to be a smile on a kid's face when they get it in the mail or see it in class (not to mention the hidden learning) makes me so happy!
It seems that kids, especially preschoolers and kindergartners, LOVE to create things, they LOVE glue AND are learning at this age to follow directions. These craft kits are perfect because the pieces are all there, so there is no danger of cutting injuries. And older children who are learning to read can practice by reading and then following the directions. The craft kits are made from foam (some from felt), which is a fun material for this age group, and the directions come in clear steps, which helps kids learn order while having fun. Plus the best part is that they have something afterward to show for their work. My child loves to give our completed craft kits to relatives as a gift. It's an inexpensive way for a child to feel pride in giving something he/she actually made. Another use for these kits is a birthday party favor or a small surprise for a relative or neighbor! I do hope you try a kit if you haven't already. My ultimate goal is to offer an affordable way for kids to have fun and learn while spending some quality time with a caring adult.
