A water garden at Catherine's farm
|
As an organic herb farmer in the 80's and 90's, Catherine raised over 400 varieties of herb plants delivering a half million plants per year to garden centers throughout the Southeast in the 80's and 90's. The farm raised thousands of dollars each year for public radio and TV through a yearly festival that Catherine helped to organize. Much of Catherine's focus has been on educational efforts and training people in medical herbalism. Catherine has spent hundreds of weekend touring as a featured speaker addressing all types of audiences about herbalism including The National Herb Grower & Marketers Association, Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, The International Herb Growers Association, The NC Herb Association, etc.
