Welcome to A Hint of History, our family business.  Lance and I began selling antique prints and original art in 2002 when we decided to take our own advice.  We have always told our son and daughter to work hard and follow their passion and if they do, they will be successful.  We have had a fascination with antique prints for as long as we have known each other.  We were high school sweethearts married shortly after we graduated from college and our children are both in college now so that was more than a few years ago!

Lance's original interest was with Audubon and mine was with the botanical prints of Mary Walcott.  We continue to appreciate these two artists and naturalists as we expand our business to include a wide variety of some of the best and most interesting prints of the previous three centuries.  We love looking at the prints, holding them and learning about the visionaries, artists, print makers and colorists who created them.  Certainly they would be equally amazed at our ability to make their prints available to the world through the internet.
