Ebay 101 (or, Ebay SHOULD be a fun experience!)
|
|
I have enjoyed selling unique items on Ebay for 7 years. It has sometimes been fun and sometimes not fun. Most buyers have done it the way it's supposed to be done (honestly), but with the new Ebay rules, it's not a level playing field.
When you bid on one of my auctions, please understand that I do not have a store. My auctions feature unique items found at estate sales and country auctions. It is an opportunity for you to add an item to your collection that is unavailable anywhere else.
I try hard to describe the items clearly. Please ask any questions before you bid and make sure this is the item you really want. I do not want to accept returns and will not refund shipping costs if you do return an item, unless I have miscategorized an item. I am NOT an antiques expert, but you may be, so please feel free to send an email asking for more photos to be sure about an item.
This should be a fun experience for everyone involved. Please don't bid if you don't agree with that.
I ship mostly with USPS Priority Mail with DC and insurance for valuable/breakable items. I pack very well. I will combine shipping for multiple items.
If you are a new ebayer and have fewer than 20 feedbacks, please contact me before bidding. Due to the problems caused by new ebayers who do not take the time to learn how to complete a transaction, I reserve the right to cancel bids from bidders who regularly leave negative feedback without contacting the seller. I believe it is the buyer's responsibility to leave positive feedback after the item is received. I always leave positive feedback after I know that the item has been received. If there is a problem with the item, please contact me immediately. I will not refund shipping on an item sent back to me unless it was not described properly. If an item is broken due to USPS handling and the item was insured, the buyer will have to return it to the post office and begin the insurance process.
Enjoy your Ebay experience and please, remember that good communication is the answer to any problem!
