Ferrets and Felines is a wonderful NO KILL, ALL VOLUNTEER shelter in central FLorida. They earn all the money to run the shelter themselves right here on eBay and are trying desperately to raise the funds to pay for an enclosed feline shelter and would appreciate ANY help you can offer. Please help if you can.
Again, theyre all volunteer so every cent goes directly to the animals.
Thanks!
Im traveling again and I know, I know....I am doing a terrible job of keeping a blog. Honestly I havent really been trying. Instead, I spend my days hiking and working and eating by a campfire and occasionally engaging strangers to hear their stories....but not much time on the computer:)
I have a million more photos, mostly of landscapes and my dogs swimming but I thought I would share this one with you.
Her name is Alia and she is traveling to Wisconsin with her boyfriend, Nate and they plan to live with his family for a while.
They have been on the road for years and together for months.
I worry about them, headed in that direction in the winter.
I imagine Nate left with some unresolved family issue and the brutal winter is ahead.
I tried to turn them South to try again in the Spring but theyre like me and when they have some momentum behind a plan theyll follow it through to the end.
I hope it turns out well for them. They seem like nice kids just living a little different lives than most of us.
Sorry again, I dont have much to share. It snowed yesterday and that is my cue to head west or south.
Montana was the greatest, it always is.
A hobo girl flirted with me(not Alia...she is just a baby), I saw a nekked girl in the woods, and I had a great invention in my dreams last night, I wrote it down and I will tell everyone about it just as soon as I dream I have a patent.
It wont be easy for Idaho to top all that:)
Oh, In case youre wondering I didnt spend much time at Wounded Knee. I had a few plans for up there but Katy's allergies kicked in with severity so we had to leave for new climate and flora in the middle of the first night.
It was so bad I didnt even get to tell everyone goodbye, I just left a note and parting gifts for the children and hit the road. But all is well again and Katy is doing great, itch free.

I am home again, and yes I know that was the worst blog ever! But, I really just didn't have much to say this time around. I didnt talk to many people, which is very unusual for me, and just spent my time enjoying nature with my dogs.
I had always thought the mind worked on many levels simultaneously and those bursts of creativity came from these subconscious levels even in our busiest of times as we spend our days thinking of the prosaic events that fill our everyday lives until all at once it comes to the surface in one resounding moment of brilliant clarity that sends our mind racing in a million directions with infinite possibilities of which we must explore every corner and every square millimeter fully, sifting through each piece of new information and warmly embracing all the enlightenment and sorting it into nicely organized, neatly outlined events until we can find a place in our conscience where they fit neatly and support, or refute, our lifetime of experience and beliefs..
But, apparently we can just stop thinking, and I must say it was relaxing.
Maybe something will come to me soon as I continue my travels into FLorida and down to the Keys, if all goes well....if not, I guess I will just grunt and point for a while.
