Lynne Schlumpf's Alaska In My Dreams Creations
Welcome to a part of Alaska I share with you from my heart
Lynne is a direct descendant of one of the founding fathers of Juneau, Alaska (the capital city of Alaska). Joseph Juneau, her grandfather's brother, was the namesake of Juneau, Alaska. She started to dream about Alaska and think about it 24 hours a day after seeing a movie with glacier scenes set in Alaska. She just knew she had been living in the wrong place for many years. Lynne and her husband Daniel packed up and drove the Alaska Highway in January 2003. They arrived in Anchorage tired and scared, but they have never looked back. Lynne started creating Alaska impressions in clay soon after she got to Anchorage, but she only recently started offering them for sale. Alaska In My Dreams Creations was born from a yearning for Alaska
In my heart, I can see nothing except my being here. I know it has upset a few members of my family that I moved here, but I had no choice. It was Alaska or Bust for me. I could not see myself living anywhere else for the rest of my life. Since moving here, I have been happier than I've ever been in my life. I'll see you in a fishing hole here in Alaska someday soon, I hope! This is the last place on Earth where man is not in charge. And that's a good thing, for sure.
