ALDA Jewelry & Gifts is the brain- (and heart-) child of Jean Radosevich. Jean, a former research scientist, had a dream that she would one day have a business named ALDA. ALDA stands for Art, Literature, Design and Atma (a spiritual word for Soul). Her logo is based on part of an image from an AD 1300-1500 Pueblo pottery bowl located in Gallup, New Mexico, Jean's hometown. It represents a young man and young maiden. For Jean, it symbolizes balance, unity and to love & embrace the child within.
ALDA Jewelry & Gift's first major products were traditional sterling silver charms. Jean became well-known in the greater Seattle area as having the largest in-stock selection of charms and pendants sold at shows and festivals. "Its fantastic to hear people's stories why they are buying a particular charm. Its personal, heart-warming and sometimes hilarious!" ALDA Jewelry & Gifts continues to sell at VA hospitals, colleges, festivals and the SeaFair PowWow in Seattle, WA.
Great selection of U.S. made jewelry and gifts with great prices lead to a business that continues to expand into Native American jewelry from New Mexico. Buying trips occur every 1-2 years with Jean and Larry bringing back their favorites from the huge selection of Southwest jewelry.
In 2009, the websites and eBay stores were combined and the process of moving products just to the eBay store is continuing. The goal is to reach 1200 online products just through eBay. "It will take some time but we are finding some fun and interesting items tucked away in storage that will finally be available."
The theme and mission of ALDA Jewelry & Gifts continues to be all about LOVE: Love of life and giving to others, experiencing deep spiritual Love and discovering self healing & finding ways of loving oneself.
Thank you for visiting ALDA Jewelry & Gifts!
