Vital Signs Artwear - FuturePrimitive works of Art "> Vital Signs is a hand block printed line of Artwear that has been sold nationwide for 21 years. The artwork is all original and has a very distinctive style that has created a strong cult following over the years. The energetic line drawings express vitality, poise, strength, balance and have been described by some as healing images. Series include Horses, Musicians, Dancers, Geometrics Animals and Mermaids. There are text blocks as well. Designs that celebrate the concept of design that communicates across language barriers, much like music.When people ask me for their meaning I would rather hear what they have to say. I am just a conduit for some vital information! HOW IS IT DONE? All printing is done by the artist KerenTonnesen with her considerable experience, not by hired hands so you are getting TRUE ARTWEAR. Quantities are extremely limited. Availability is limited to her store on Martha's Vineyard and website and of course eBay! The process is thus, a block is carved in much the way a linoleum block is created. The paint, usually 4 colors,is applied in layers to create the different color areas and to create depth and secondary colors not possible with any other process. It is then applied with pressure to the garment. The paint is fully wash-and-dry! no special handling. Each garment is one of a kind. in that no 2 pieces have the same combination or placement of blocks and the colors are different with each painting. Pieces being sold on eBay are all first quality and are available as some sizes run out and inclusion in the store is impractical. Satisfaction guaranteed! Flax is a favorite line that gets printed though other lines and also custom designed pieces are printed and are offered. Also being sold are unprinted pieces, all new and first quality.
