Hello folks the Ole Woodcrafter™ here.

I make my home in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia.

It is here in these mountains that I spend my days making my own brand of Pet products and playing with my grandchildren that I have been blessed with.

As far back as I can remember I have always been involved in creating items out of necessity and just for the personal pleasure that I find in doing so.

Some folks are taught to wood craft and since that I have always done so, I guess that you could say that I was Self taught then finely tuned my skills through out the years by other Master Woodcrafters right here in the great Blue Ridge Mountains...

Then as time passed becoming a Master Woodcrafter myself passing the skills on down to the good folks right here at my home nestle here in these beautiful mountains.

Why choose a product made by my wife and I…well lets start by saying these products are not made in another country were some items but not all are made on the cheap side then exported to this great country to be sold at a much higher price.

The Ole Woodcrafter™ pet products that are made by my lovely wife and I are not plastic items that can chip and break or light weight metal adjustable doo-dads..that will bend once a pet places its muzzle into the feeder….

How do I know this… my customers tell me this after they purchased the items.

The stainless steel bowls that I use I prefer due to the research that I found that many ceramic pet bowls that come from abroad could contain lead.

Pets are members of our families and should be treated with love and respect and their health is very important.

I place a very high value on crafting with quality.

For over 30 years of building these pet products and items for homes I have learned what quality means to my valued customers. My items are not thrown together quickly on a conveyer line then stacked in a corner for months.

These items are made one at a time by my wife and I and are shipped in 3 to 4 business days.

We personally hand pick through each piece of wood that is used. Sometimes going through stacks of lumber. I check the grain of the wood, and other traits in the wood that is very important. I try to do my very best when it comes to putting my products together. If it does not pass both of our ideals of what the product should be then it does not leave my wood shop.

We believe in the old standards? IF ITS NOT RIGHT FOR US THEN ITS NOT RIGHT FOR YOU. .and that folks is a standard that is lacking more and more these days.

That is one of the basic reasons why customers keep coming back.. And we truly do thank you for that.

We are very proud of the pet items and other items that we make..

We feel that we are doing a service for our furry friends that give us so much love and attention.

I use the very best of stains and finishes that are on the market for all my products. If you use a cheap stain the product fails in beauty. The stains are also applied by hand along with a coat of poly. I truly believe that the beauty is in the stain and the craftsmanship is in how that it is put together. It is out of love for the passion of crafting with my hands and enjoying life here in these mountains of Virginia that I feel that I have been truly blessed.

QUICK ANSWERS TO SOME OF YOUR QUESTIONS.

SHIPPING

Folks I’ll tell you right up front.. There’s No need in beating around the bush...I keep the cost of shipping down by doing what I can... For example the don't charge for the cost of boxes or even shipping tape. I Don't charge for the printing ink or even taking the item to the post office when the item calls to be shipped by mail.. when it comes to shipping my products.... If I can get it there to you at a rock bottom price then we are both happy.

On combined shipping

Folks the best that I can do is by taking $2.00 off the shipping price on the second item.

I know that doesn't sound like much.. But in all honesty these are wooden items that has a fair amount of weight to them. And UPS goes by weight and size.

The pet products that I make are not light weight plastic that can break and chip or light weight dollar store items. These items are strong and built to last and as you can see at a very reasonable price.

When do I receive the item

All pet items are personally hand crafted by me and my wife right here in Southwest Virginia. Folks There is no store house full of these items where I can go and pull them off of the shelf. Each piece is individually crafted to meet your pets needs. UPS stops here at my wood shop every day Monday thru Friday. I am retired so I wood craft 6 days a week and am able to send your items out in three days or less except for Saturday and Sunday... and that is due to UPS does not work on the weekends... I do but they don't. Did I mention that i am Retired...LOL...

On shipping notification

After your pet item is shipped out you don't have to worry are wonder about if that old woodcrafter™ sent my item out... you see I send along an email stating that your item has been shipped and the date that you should receive it... I even send along to you the UPS tracking numbers so that you can watch your item as it comes your way... WOW.. you can't beat that with a stick!.

Shipping Insurance

All UPS customers are insured up to one hundred dollars. There's no need in sending along any extra green backs (money) because you are covered.

Now for those customers that live in beautiful Alaska and beautiful Hawaii items will be shipped by U.S. Mail. Please email me your zip code for shipping rates. Insurance to Alaska and Hawaii customers is $1.35

Pets name

I will try very hard to get up to 2 names and maybe 3 if there is room at no cost to you!! WOW... NOW WHAT ABOUT THAT!!.. no cost to you.. remember folks I want your repeat business. On staining

I use top grade minwax stains that the label says it penetrates, stains and seals the wood. Afterwards I apply a coat of water based polyurethane finish. I also can leave the pet item unfinished so that you can stain it or paint it to match your own interior. The staining is all done by hand and is also free.... there is that word again... FREE. These are the stains that I offer.. Early American, Cherry, Golden Pecan, Red Mahogany, Special Walnut, Colonial Maple, English Chestnut, Red Oak, Ipswich pine Golden Oak.
