Watch out for the paints and art pads stacked around, move the box of beads, watch out for the little tubs of body jewelry, don't sit on the cross stitch in progress (there's probably a needle in it somewhere) have a seat and, oh, I hope you like animals.... The cats will probably introduce themselves shortly and the Chihuahuas won't be far behind. Please watch where you step, as there may be a tiny puppy or two running around underfoot. You may also have to move some harness or other horse gear to free up a large enough place to sit, just please don't put it on the floor as teething puppys can wreak havoc with nice leather!What I'm up to........
I draw and paint pictures (ArtByAlodi) and create counted cross stitch patterns (FieldAnForest) to sell here on E-Bay. In my free (HAH!) time, I craft Native American regalia and PowWow items. I live in central Oklahoma and take photographs to use in my paintings and cross stitch patterns of the flora and fauna found here and anywhere else I go. (Unfortunately, I seem to have become addicted to my camera and photography) Soon I will also have the new embroidery machine fired up to par and be offering one-of-a-kind appliques and patches.My History........
I have painted and drawn from the time I was first able to pick up a pencil. I have searched for years to find my own niche where I could make a little money doing some form of the art and creating that I love so well. As a 10 yr old I entered a local art contest and won second place in the watercolor category. LOL, Unfortunately I had to bow out as my painting was done with acrylics. I had bought them with my own allowance and didn't have much paint, so I had painted it VERY thinly and the judges thought it was a watercolor. Since then I have worked with acrylics, charcoal, graphite, pen and ink, watercolor, embroidery thread, oils and even some felt tip marker. I have painted signs for stores and painted windows for holidays. Most of my art, though has been done for my own enjoyment and to be used as gifts. It wasn't until recently that I decided to try selling a few of my art pieces here on E-Bay. I am entirely self-taught, with no formal training or classes whatever. Over the past year I seem to have finally settled into my own style of painting with the watercolors, using a fine point archival ink pen for the bolder outlines then adding color and shading with the watercolors. It seems to work for me and is a style I am very comfortable with. I tend more towards realism, sometimes almost photo-realistic, until I get tired of that and start adding and changing things around...I have been a member on e-bay since Tuesday, Apr 24, 2001 .
