While earning my degree in Geology from the University of Colorado/Boulder, my studies in mineralogy led to an avid interest in gemstones. I moved to Bangkok in 1991 to gain knowledge and experience related to the production of gemstones. While managing several large wholesale gem operations in the early 90s, I traveled extensively in Asia, studying, producing, and marketing loose gemstones. The time came in 1997 to start my own company, American-Thai Trading. Now I and my wife are proud to invite anyone coming to Bangkok to visit our office and showroom, located in the heart of Bangkok's world famous gem district.
