My Inspiration

A little about the start of Amy May's Mei Tai's

      Amy May's Mei Tai's started when my daughter was born in May of 2005.  I had broken my back when I was younger and have severe lower back pain.  I wanted to be able to hold her at all times, but my back grew tired after a while.  I saw someone wearing a mei tai, and I was off to try to make my own!  I loved the mei tai!!!  I was able to do housework again, and go grocery shopping.  It became a serious interest to tell all of my friends about the mei tai.  I made them for babyshowers, and for close friends as gifts.  After giving away about 15 of them, I started getting feedback telling me that I should try selling them on ebay.  And thats what I did!  After doing some research online, I got upset that most online stores selling mei tai's were so expensive!  So I began making them afforadable so that everyone could wear their babies!!!  And I promise that they will stay affordable as well!

A little about me

      I am a Christian.  I am a stay at home mommy.   I am a very open and honest person.  I am a wife to a wonderful man named Derek.  We got married in July of 2004 after being together for 4 years.   I am 25 years old.  We own a home in Galloway, Ohio.  We have one child.  Our beautiful daughter was born in May of 2005 one week over due (7 lbs and 21 inches), we named her Nadia Marie (shes cute and rotten and my inspiration for life!!)   

We had our little boy on Aug 3rd, 2007!!! He weighed in at 8lbs, 3oz... and was 20 1/2 inches long!!! He is a quite little guy, and oh so perfect!!! Welcome to the world little Noah Patrick <3
We have also lost two children, and if you would like to know more about them, please email me. I will also offer a listening ear to those of you who need support who have gone through similar situations. <3       
       I support breastfeeding 100% and co-sleeping as well!!!  I wear my child often, even now.   I am pierced and tattoo'd.   I am an alternative parent.   I have a dog, a great pyrenees named Yoshi.   I have a cat named Akito. He has six toes on each foot.  (My pets are not allowed in my sewing room however!!!) 
       I am one of the luckiest people alive to have such a wonderful family. They are all very dear to me.
       I have been sewing since I was very little.  My grandmother taught me how to sew.  We spent many afternoons making crafts together and they are some of my most special memories from childhood.
