Hi! My name is Andy Moy. I have been a buyer/ manager for the world famous Gramaphone Records since 1984! I have always loved music, and have been buying music since I was five years old. My mom would take me shopping for 45's at an early age. I have always enjoyed sharing my knowledge, and helping customers find their songs. I feel that is the greatest reward. I guess that is why I have been in the retail end for so long.
I have been a mix deejay since 1980. I have mixed on Wbmx 102.7 and WGCI AM 1890 as well as being an associate member of the famous DJ team "The Hotmix Five", here in Chicago. I have also played on stations such as 89.3FM WNUR, as well as Wcrx FM. I also worked at DJ International records under Benji Espinosa, and Rocky Jones, Galgano Records Distribution, and spinning at the world famous Riviera Nightclub. I had residencies at AKA Club, and, Coconuts Nightclub, amongst many others!
I have been the manager/buyer for the world reknown Gramaphone records here in Chicago since July 1984!
Nothing gives me more pleasure than helping customers find the records that they are looking for, especially old school. There is nothing that gives me more satisfaction than to see a customers happy face, when they find that gem that they are looking for. That's why I am still at Gramaphone Records! 21 years and counting!
