eBay, has been a great place for me to get a great start at becoming a professional working artist. So many wonderfully talented artist sell here, and I admire many. among my favorite artist who sell on eBay are B.B. Flocklings Rose Lacefield, Enchanted Hearts Deb Wood, Patience Worth, Anita Moore, Chopoli, Faery Bay, Phyllis Morrow, Sharon Aur Wright,and Fairies and Dreams Eneida Rosa I could go on and on, so many are SO VERY talented!Their sculptures are so beautiful, and magical, I hope you will check out their work as well as mine! First, and foremost, thank you to all of the terrific collectors who have not only supported my doll making finacially, but who truely love dolls. Many of you, as well as several artists here at eBay, have been a great inspiration to me, and at times, even give me "the swelled head"..ha ha I appreciate your interest in my work. I enjoy creating Faeries, male, and female, child faes, mermaids, elfins,pixies, gnomes, woodland creatures, Dollhouse miniatures, and babies.
A Little about me??? Well, I have always felt a need to express myself creatively. Whether that be sewing, singing, writing, drawing, or even cake decorating for awhile. When I was younger, and first learned to sew, I created cloth dolls, and just loved seeing a personality come to life through cloth, After finding this medium, or should I say, the faeries found me, I fell completly in love with sculpting, and plan to sculpt forever!
I am a wife, mother of five, grandmother of six!, and live, in western Ky.with my husband of 30 years, and our eldest grandson.
I found polymer sculpture completely by accident, and could not be more pleased! I began in Sept of 2007 with super sculpey, created a strange little baby I was so proud of, listed him, and he sold for 5.00! I was hooked! I could not wait to get my hands on professional grade materials, and begin creating.I am compltely self taught, never been to a seminar, or meeting, or sculpting class, for me it is a trial and error learning experience, and I still have alot to learn! I am intrigued by some of the beautiful dolls created, and sold here on eBay, by such amazing talented artists, I strive to better my craft with each piece. I sometimes find myself seemingly bragging on my creations, it isn't that at all. For me, it almost seems sometimes as if my hands are guided, and the little souls I create were meant to be in a strange way. Almost as if I were just there watching, I sound a bit looney tunes, but it is true, they seem to have a will of their own somedays!
My dolls are by no means perfect, but they are all unique, and special, and hopefully will find their way into your hearts, through my hands. I have problems with my sight, so sculpting is a challenge for me most days, but not one I am willing to give up by any means!
My dolls are in finer homes, privately owned all over the United States, and now several countries, as well as three art galleries! I am very proud that I have been able to accomplish this. I have done some commission work as well, and enjoy that creative process with the help, and imagination of the collector.Thank you for taking the time to read a little about me,
