PJ & Me

Why did I start an Ebay store?  In late December 2005, one of my closest and dearest friends passed away unexpectedly.  She was only 42 years old.  Her death hit me hard.  But as the days passed, I decided to turn my sorrow and pain into a new way of life.  A "Live Like You Were Dying" way of life (we both love Tim McGraw!).  I stopped saying "someday" and "maybe" about most of the things in my life and started doing them.  In March 2006 I bought my own Harley & got my motorcycle license.  A month later, I went to Jamaica on vacation and parasailed for the first time in my life. It also was my first boat ride in the carribean!  A couple months later I went tubing down the Chattahooche River in Georgia!  I try to do new things each and every day now.  Riding my Harley is one of my favorite things to do now. The freedom I feel when I ride is incredible and I thank God & my friend for giving me a new outlook on life. (Dec 06 update) Tried yoga & LOVE IT!  --- See you never know unless you try it!

I decided that I liked being on ebay so much, both buying and selling, that I should turn my hobby into a second income.  I decided to stop just having auctions once a year, in the middle of the winter and open my own store!  Another FIRST for me! 

Live, Love & Laugh!

Why name the store PJs Wings and Things?  While preparing to open my Ebay store, I struggled to come up with a name for it.  I tried being creative, but it just was not coming to me.  Only days before the opening of the un-named store, I decided to use my friend as an inspiration for a name.  The first name I wrote down is the one that stuck out the most.  PJs Wings and Things. PJ is her initials and Wings references angel wings.

The items in my store reflect alot about me and what I like as, well as the things my customers like!  In the coming months, I hope to add to my store "Things With Wings".  Butterfly, angel, and fairy items.  Things I love to surround myself with as well as share with others.

My hope is that my story will inspire one or many people to start LIVING and stop just existing everyday.  As another friend told me, "Do everything you do with love" and really LOOK at the world around you.  Stop and enjoy your children, grandchildren, spouse, partner, and even your pets!  The work at the office and the pile of laundry will still be there later, enjoy & experience the beautiful things in your life and around you.  You will be glad you did.  I know I am.
