In November of 2008, I came across a Goodwill bargain of 3 long boxes of comics - all bagged and boarded. I learned from a Goodwill employee that the donation had come from an elderly man who decided his days of comic collecting were over. Excitedly, I purchased the collection. In it, I've rediscovered my love of comics!
So, I found ComicsPriceGuide.com, and they've been helpful as I understand what's in this initial collection. In addition, I find lots of mixed lot comics here and there, and am adding to what I've got. The time I spent working in libraries is sure coming in handy now.
Perhaps one of the coolest things that's happened since "the inheritance" is that I've been so inspired, I started drawing my own web comic! I've been a painter for more than 20 years, but over the last 5 have rather lost my spark. Finally, I'm doing something fun again!
