I am a fortysomething mom, corporate communications professional, small business owner, writer, gardener, wife, tail-end baby boomer and homeowner living in rural Vermont.
After many years as a single parent supporting myself and struggling financially, I am beginning to see the fruits of my labors. But my frugal habits have stuck with me.
I shop at thrift shops, clip coupons and look for deals and sales wherever I can find them. Most of the stuff I find, I keep for myself and my family. The rest I sell on eBay. My eBay store is not my full time job, but it does provide me with a little extra pocket money, most of which I am putting toward my daughter's college education! I have a full time job and do freelance writing work when I can fit it in. I'm a pretty busy woman and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I have been buying and selling on eBay for nearly 9 years now and I do not list anything in my eBay store that I would not use myself. I pride myself on being open, friendly and a good communicator and I hope my customers and the people from whom I purchase see me that way too. I try to be a decent buyer and seller...because I believe in the "what goes around comes around" rule. So far, so good!
