Why should I buy clippings?
Clippings are a must for any fan! I'm a collector (see my about me page) and I love getting clippings for my scrapbooks & fan sites. I love reading articles & interviews from other countrys and seeing photos they are not published in the magazines I generally buy. Clippings packs are brilliant because instead of me forking out money for magazine after magazine to get one article or one photo of my favourite celeb, I can buy a pack bursting with all I need!
Why is the article not complete?
Sometimes I buy clippings pack to add to my collections and they are not complete and sometimes when I'm pulling apart magazines, articles are double sided with another celebrity and I have to chose. I also get a lot of second hand magazines and a lot of the times they are cut up so parts are missing. If you are ever wondering about a certain article contact me and I'll let you know exactly you'll get.
What is a clipping according to you?
Clippings (not full pages) are what I classify as under a page. This may mean a tiny picture - it may mean a little under a page - or half page. When I say for example 30 clippings, this means a mixture that are not full pages. Also some full pages have been folded over to fit in the envelope. These are often from Interview, Sunday magazine, Vegas and other larger publications.
Where do you get all your magazines from?
I get my magazines from everywhere! I buy them brand new, I get them given them to me by friends and family and I buy them second hand. So these clippings range from fair to very good condition. I do my best always to let you know if any major wear and tear. Some people ask why I still send them - well I figure you may as well get them - for all I know it could be something rare or special - and I mean it's better having half of it, than nothing at all. That's my theory anyway. Do you have...?
Maybe - all you can do is ask and I'll be happy to make a auction for you if possible!
How come your auction is listed in US dollars and you're from Australia?
I find more people find my auctions if it's listed in USD and I take international payments via paypal and my account is in USD. Just easier this way.
Why can't I send a money order or cash if I'm not living in Australia?
I've had so much trouble of people sending wrong orders, wrong amounts etc, that I've changed it paypal only. I am starting to accept INTERNATIONAL money orders now from overseas. You MUST have a feedback score of 100 or more to use this method and the payment has to be sent of ASAP. I do prefer paypal. Its a lot easier. THIS MUST BE DISCUSSED WITH MY BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS IF YOU WANT TO USE A INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDER - UNLESS ITS PAYPAL ONLY
Why don't you send the clippings off right away once I've paid via paypal?
It takes 5-7 days for paypal payments to be transfered to my Australian bank account and then I take them to the post office once a week to send. I wait till almost everyone has paid for that week and then transfer the money at once. Sometimes this only takes a few days, sometimes over a week. So it's generally between 1 and 2 weeks before they get shipped out. If you need them by a deadline or something you can always work something out with me.
