IF YOUR AUCTION WAS ENDED BY EBAY'S VERO PROGRAM: I generally request cancellation of auctions that are selling unauthorized images of my photographs, as photographic prints or copies, no matter the source of the original. This would include, but not be limited to, photographic, inkjet, or laser prints or copies of any size, with or without an "autograph", or images within products (keychains, collector stamps, CD-ROM collections, etc.). It would not include legitimately published materials such as magazines, calendars, posters, etc, since someone had to pay for the original purchase, which included a license to use it.
The photograph in the auction you had is mine - I photographed it, I have the copyright. No matter how you obtained it, and no matter how you are marketing it, it is a violation of my copyright since neither I nor the personality involved have authorized its reproduction for this use. It doesn't matter whether the autograph (if there is one) is or is not genuine (and I doubt that it is) the image itself has not been authorized for these copies and is therefore a violation.
