Time for another update. I'm not so new anymore, but most things are the same. I still feel like I've found a home away from home here at eBay. I've met loads of wonderful people. I'm both a buyer and a seller, so I get to view things from both sides. I'm not a dealer of anything in particular, just a Pack Rat, who was married to a Pack Rat, and trying to weed out stuff, probably just to make room for more stuff.
I'm a fiber artist and make quilts, cloth dolls, Wearable Art, jewelry. Last year I discovered Altered Books and am hooked. It combines my love of books with collage, paint, glue & using & collecting "stuff". I can now justify buying almost anything to go into the creation of my crazy books and also get to use lots of the things I find in the garage and stashed in my closets. I have put together collections of stuff and sell them to other AB artists. I also love beads & beading. I am owned by three cranky cats
According to a book I read about EBAY, I'm not a collector, I'm an accumulator. There's no rhyme or reason to what I collect. Lots of Books, fabric, stuff I've been hanging on to, some I've rescued from going to the dumpster and just about anything else that's caught my eye.
My husband was into airplanes, electronics, and metalworking. We had an old Cessna 120 in our backyard, which a friend purchased and restored. I sold our 1958 Piper Commanche to a dealer & used the money from it to remodel the kitchen of my dreams.
The garage is large and still very much stuffed. I think I'll be with EBAY for a very long time.
My policy for the items I'm selling is to try to be as honest as I can in the descriptions. There's lots of things that we have that I really don't know much about. I'm trying to learn..
I don't add on any extra handling or supply charges to my shipping fees but do tend to round out the numbers and sometimes I'm a bit over or under, so I guess it evens out.
If you are unhappy with any transaction, please let me know and I will do my best to rectify any problems. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to e-mail at gkgraham@earthlink.net. I try to respond as quickly as possible.
