A Look at buildings for the Wild Wild West Ambush. Currently titled BUSHWHACKED

As a teen I lived on the Eastern slope of the Colorado Rookie Mountains about an hour West of Denver. There were plenty of fun things to do but I also had a unique interest in all things World War Two. As luck would have it I found a whole new world of historical gaming that I didn't know existed and included an assortment of solitaire games. I quickly fell in love with B-17 Queen of the Skies, Patton Best and Ambush. I ended up joining the Army and went to Basic at Fort Lost in the Woods at the old age of 22 (felt like an old man keeping up with 17 year olds). Completed Basic and shipped out to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. Completed the Combat Medic course near the top of the class and became a Nationally certified EMT. I then returned to my Army Reserve Unit, a Light Infantry Company. Took part in a lot of training but no combat. Mission #4 of the FOLLOW ME module, BLOODY GROUND is now in the works. It involves a retreat and then the option to stand and fight or surrender, somehow I think you'll fight.

I started playing Ambush the year it was released and stayed with the system until I graduated from High School. As I played through MOVE OUT, PURPLE HEART, SILVER STAR and BATTLE HYMN I always had the desire to create my own missions but the idea seemed impossible, technically and logistically. How would I make all the tables and the condition cards and if I managed all that how would I ever get the word out or release my work. Then along came a whole host of software, ebay and the help of a good friend in exchange for a nice lunch, LOL. Hopefully youl enjoy playing my missions as much as I enjoy making them. I am currently in the planning and building stage of an Ambush style game based in the Wild West. I'm calling the MOD "Bushwhacked". Your squad will now be a band of outlaws. Four missions are planned and will involve a stage coach robbery, Taking down a train or better said a train robbery, an in town Bank job and a last stand defense after being hunted and found by the dreaded posse. It should be loads of fun.
