I'm a Cuban-American painter living in South Florida. I find inspiration in the memories of the beautiful landscapes found in my native country as well as the lush tropical scenery found in South Florida.

Painting for me is capturing a moment in time that might otherwise pass by unnoticed and unappreciated. The desire and my limited ability to do this is definitely a gift from above. I'm mostly a self-taught artist and making my subjects recognizable and appreciated by others is truly rewarding. I love the impressionistic style with bright colors and thick luscious oil paints. They seem to convey more movement and depth and have a life of their own. As I paint, I think that this painting is for a dear friend and a piece of me is worked into my creation.

Mostly self-taught, I started to paint only five years ago. Since this is a wonderful learning process for me, I'm offering my original oil paintings at very reasonable prices so that I can move my inventory and continue to hone my skills. I've had wonderful success so far. It's been so encouraging that many collectors have purchased my art work and seen the value and originality of my efforts, encouraging me to paint more, and calling me an "up and coming artist"!
