Hello and welcome!

There is more being auctioned here than the name suggests! In addition to my original art and crafts which includes scrollsawing, dried gourds and more!: From time to time I list new and used, jewelry, books and other miscellaneous items which I no longer have room for or can use.

A bit about myself. I am a semi-retired artist now living in Florida.

The landscapes, still life, florals and pet-portraits are done in acrylic or the nearly lost ancient art form of pyrography.  These mediums are often incorporated into many of the hand-crafted items I create.

What motivates me to create the art and crafts that I do?

The pure personal joy I derive from simply doing it. Next comes my desire to share my artistic accomplishments with friends, family and clients. 

Because I am basically self taught I am not overly preoccupied with or concerned about technically correct applications or academic rules in creating art.  I am not making any visual political, shocking, controversial statement or sending a vague hidden message.  When I create something, be it fine art or crafts, it is an honest representation of what came from my heart and nothing more.  

Critics describe my style of painting as a combination of realistic and impressionistic.  My landscapes have a 'feeling' which invites the viewer to pause, look, relax and simply enjoy.  Most of my work is created using a combination of memory of places I have been and imagination.  A lot of the commissioned work I do is inspired by clients personal photographs of pets and favorite vacation spots.
