I am very fortunate to be able to make a living from my passion of art. It's a freedom I've never expected and I give gratitude to my inner muse every night (being an insomniac, this is when I get my best inspirations!)
I started taking art classes as a young child and studied art and composition throughout college as well as on my own. Even though I have my favorite artists like Miro and Erte, I have developed my own style through experimentation, expressing my passions through brush, glass, pencil, body and what ever comes my way to create one-of-a-kind pieces that shows color, depth and extraordinary shapes.
I mostly tend to gravitate toward abstract art because of the free expressionism and boundless resources used in this genre. There are no rules. However, a few fey folk might slip out once in a while- I just never know what I will create next! I start with an idea then allow automatic inspiration coax me where it wants.When I put the brush down, that’s when it’s complete-sometimes!
My world is a smorgasbord of inspiring images, and I feel compelled to get them down on paper or canvas daily. To deny those urges would be like holding my breath! |
