Yes, this is me!

My alter ego,I did it & sold!

I never dreamed or planned to become a jeweler much less a designer.
I wanted to be trumpet player.
Born into a family of good musicians who could hardly make a living in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I took my father's advice:
BE ANYTHING ELSE!
So at age 15 and without enthusiasm, I became the apprentice of an old italian master jeweler.
One day he showed me a very tiny gold crucifix he had been working on for some time. I expressed admiration for the exquisitely hand detailed figure.
Hold your silly words! he said, and handed me his magnifying jeweler's glasses.
AND THEN I SAW THE BLOOD AND THE TEARS!
At that very moment I knew I wanted to learn to become a jeweler and hand engraver.
I came to America in 1966 and soon started designing and making jewelry commisioned by already well known jewelries in New York.
I decided to enter one of my designs in the International Cultured Pearl Competition.
Won Awards for four consecutive years. This brought me recognition , more business and I stopped competing.
I moved to Miami (the weather is great)
Opened L.A. Jewelry Shop Inc., a business dedicated to manufacture exclusively for the trade.
My designs, specially those featuring ancient and treasure coins, have sold in Europe, Cayman Is., Puerto Rico ,Key West, Vegas, New York, and many other cities.
In 1991, I came to Sarasota and stablished my first retail jewelry store Arte Jewelry Inc. now at:
7618 N. Lockwood Ridge Rd.,
Sarasota, Florida 34243
941-351-8252 or 941-365-5265
I have become a one man band.
DESIGN- WAX SCULPTURE-CASTING-SETTING-POLISHING-FINISH of my jewelry is done by me.
I am not into production manufacturing.
At my retail store additional to the inventory of jewelry pieces designed and made by me, I mostly do special orders for customers who want the exclusivity edge of custom designed fine jewelry.
At 72, I began this new venture, selling online at manufacturers prices!
My wife, Lydia, is my E-Bay Store listing and sales manager.
You are welcome to view some of my best designs. They feature my favorite subjects , nautical themes, face sculptures, coins and exciting gem combinations.
I specially select my color gems, Emeralds, Boulder opals, Tourmalines, Aquamarines, Ceylon saphires, Tsavorites among many other.
I use only natural gemstones never color enhanced or laboratory made.
My diamonds are at least SI1, color H or better.
