Hey! I'm having fun on eBay! I hope you are too! My esoteric tastes have been earned through years in the arts. As a child, I studied acting, piano & dance. As a teen, I got involved with singing, and ended up majoring in voice in college, after which I sang many roles with local opera companies. My first film role was that of an opera singer. I married a rock musician, James Fowler, and sang in his band. In addition to acting in film and TV, I also have worked many years as an editor and director. James is still a singer/songwriter and works as a writer/editor at the Los Angeles times. Two of our greatest accomplishments together are our beautiful daughters, Danielle and Nicole.
My second marriage is to Celtic artist and jewelry designer, Sherridan Smith (AKA Sam). I've been singing opera again, even studied and performed a bit in Europe, and I picked up a paint brush about four years ago and haven't been able to put it down! Thanks to the internet, my paintings are already selling internationly.

When I first started selling on eBay, I chose the username, artisticcelt, to reflect my husband's expertise. The eBay store simply took on the name of my already-established business, Ruby Slipper Productions. I have a passion for collecting, and have a huge collection of Wizard of Oz items. Any duplicates I acquire go on sale in the store. I also have an enormous Disney collection and am building up that part of my store as well. You'll find several ethnics represented in all categories, with Celtic items leading the way. Look for Scottish, Irish, Welsh, British and Manx collectibles. The Jewelry department is glutted with pieces inspired by historic crosses in those countries.
I love rich colors, so gemstones are also well-represented as bling in the Jewelry department. You'll see deep reds among the Home Decor items; greens in Consumer Electronics; and purple, yellow, blue and orange in the Art category. You may notice a large percentage of Books on the subject of UFOs. Two books, Flying Saucers Over Los Angeles, the UFO Craze of the '50s and Space, a Journalist's Notebook were written by my father, Dr. DeWayne B. Johnson (Doc), who also has paintings and sculptures for sale.
Sam and I live on Angel Peak Ranch, which consists of 10 acres of gorgeous high desert terrain in the far north end of Los Angeles County. (It makes a wonderful film location.) Our 30-head flock of sheep is made up of purebred four-horned Navajo-churro sheep, which provide wool in the full range of colors their breed is known for (mesa red to English blue.) In addition to our sheep, we also have two dogs (Belle and Shoebox), five chickens, two geese and a Llama named Beau. We are active in the Acton Community Presbyterian Church and the local garden club. Do we love what we're doing? You bet!!
