90% of the products in this store are HAND MADE in Canada by one artist (me)! They are not mass-produced in factories or "sweat shops", nor are they merely the product of a casual hobby. Creating art is my full-time legitimate business, and I take my work very seriously; I regularly test and wear my own products, and I have experience in making and selling fine art and crafts for over 20 years. I have been selling on Ebay since 2001, and there are no plans to stop anytime soon. So rest assured that I am not going to disappear overnight!

My name is Elaine, but I am affectionately known online as "Valerian". I am 39 years old and received my fine arts degree at the Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design (Canada) in 1991. I am a full-time artist (painter), PPFA certified picture framer, web designer, jewelry artisan, fashion accessories designer, and all-around craftsperson. I began selling my handmade creations online here on Ebay in 2001 (Art of Adornment Ebay Store opened in 2004), however I have been exhibiting and selling my fine art and crafts for over 20 years. I also like to sew Victorian style corsets for myself and refinish furniture in my "spare" time.
