About Us
My wife and I have both collected art for many years. It is a passion that runs in our blood and that has been passed down through generations in our families. In my wife’s case, the passion has gone beyond collecting great paintings to actually creating them. Born and raised in Bavaria, southern Germany, later living in Salzburg, Austria, my wife received her formal art education in Munich, followed by a one year apprenticeship in Paris. Since then, she has exhibited her paintings in many galleries around the world. Her work can also be found in many private and corporate collections.
A passion for the arts in general and painting in particular runs deeply in my family as well. As a young boy, I was exposed to wonderful paintings in our own home and through frequent trips to museums and fine art galleries. I have continued to collect art ever since. This perhaps explains why my oldest son also caught the “bug” and became an art expert at Christie’s, the world-renowned auction house.
Our Core Values
Now that you know a little about us, let me explain why my wife and I created the Art of Europa online gallery. Very simply, our objective is to make wonderful paintings available on an affordable basis to those who may not have the time or ability to find great art values on their own. To achieve this objective, we have built our business around several core values and strategies:
Quality.
My wife and I are avid art collectors, but we don’t profess to be art experts. We also don’t have the time or resources to fully research the origins and background of every painting we list on eBay. Our approach has simply been to collect and sell paintings that we have fallen in love with, and whose artistic and technical quality we believe to be truly exceptional.
Selection.
Most people lead very busy lives. They just don’t have the time to sort through the seemingly infinite universe of paintings to find the ones they like, particularly if they are by painters they may not be familiar with. Finding high caliber paintings for resale is what we do for a living so, in this regard, we serve as a “personal shopper” for many of our clients.
Value.
The price of most quality paintings offered through traditional channels – such as upscale galleries – puts them out of reach for most potential buyers. Our objective is to keep our overhead and distribution costs low so we can offer such paintings at affordable cost.
Availability.
This is exactly why we have chosen to offer the works of the artists we collect on eBay. Because of the low cost of distribution involved, it is possible for us to make truly extraordinary paintings available to a broader audience at very reasonable prices.

Our Unconditional Guarantee
If you are not satisfied for any reason, you will be refunded the full purchase price, excluding shipping fees. This is an unconditional quarantee with no questions asked or need to explain why you are not satisfied. We simply request that you provide notice to return within three business days of receiving the artwork and return it to us in the same condition as when shipped.
