 Gary Stanley Fine Art

Gary Stanley lives in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego, California.  He began his art studies at an early age.  He put down the brush to pursue other business interests.  After a business career (one that took him to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Colorado, and ultimately ending in California), he returned to painting.

He draws on his exposure to the landscapes of the Southwest, and the Central & Southern California Coastal regions.  Primarily self taught, he paints mostly in plein air (outdoors).  He specializes in oil painting renditions of the Central California Coast, and the Monterey Peninsula.

His works have been exhibited at the San Diego Art Institute, Pacific Grove Art Center (2003), Monterey Museum of Art (2003-2009), and at the ArtSanDiego Ebay Gallery, and ArtSanDiego AskART.com Gallery.

Gary Stanley is an Associate Artist Member of the California Art Club, Associate Artist Member of the Oil Painters of America, Associate Member of the Carmel Art Association, and Patron Member of the Monterey Bay Plein Air Painters Association.  He is listed at AskART.com, and in The Artist's Bluebook by Dunbier.
