Greetings from ArtsyDeadsy!

Thanks for checking out my Day of the Dead original art and jewelry. I'm Diana, an elementary school Fine Arts teacher with over 900 students at two schools. I sponsor a Multicultural Art Club where we learn to appreciate art and other people, and I present workshops in the community. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with art and children every day. I am a very lucky person.

My sweet husband Rod and I present festive Mexican Folk Art work shops in the community and for private parties. See photos of events on my “teachery” web site, www.DayoftheDeadGallery.com  We specialize in Mexican Sugar Skulls, Papel Picado (filigree paper banners), Retablos, Jewelry making, and Ceramic skeletons and bowls.  Rod teaches high school Biology and is a gemstone "rock hound". He is very creative and is designing jewelry, painting and working with clay.

  • Rod and Diana have a 1971 School bus/RV. It lives permanently near the entrance of the festival grounds. Its our "vacation home" :) Come see Us!

  • We have "Music Night'" and play music with our friends every Saturday night.  This tradition has been ongoing since about 1986. We take turns hosting and we have a great time singing and playing.
  • Rod and Diana are school teachers in Corpus Christi, TX. and are the  happiest married couple ever.  We have the best life, too!  We have kids at home, in college, and all grown up.

  • We love our terrier mix baby dog, Rosey Posey aka "Po Po" She sleeps in the middle and is a spoiled mess. Our fault!

  • We just added a new male Rat Terreir Baby Dog! Still deciding what to name him...any suggestions? (as of Aug 22, 2009)
