I specialise broadly in entertainment, as I always have LPs, CDs, videos and books in my listings.

Why asd429? This is the catalogue number of one of the most desirable of UK Classical LPs, and although not the most expensive, it has certainly acquired something of a Holy Grail status.

UK Classical LPs produced in the 1950s and 1960s were made at a time when attention to detail and quality were paramount, and its a shame that these qualities are often overlooked in some of the mass produced items today.

Each decade produces collectables however, and the 1980s saw the emergence of a largely unregulated video boom. Being a fan of horror movies, I am always on the lookout for the original "video nasties", especially as so many of these films are so dire that they would have sunk into obscurity had they not been zealously hounded down and banned. Nonetheless, the 39 films which were eventually banned have all acquired a kudos among collectors, some of whom try to collect all 39! These are often referred to as the DPP39 (Director Of Public Prosecutions), and to me the whole incident presents a fascinating glimpse of cultural history.
