Me and Global Jlry Hi and thanks for taking a moment to read about Me. Being the third generation in the jewelry business I was a "shlepper" carrying sample bags and representing manufacturers to manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, exporters and volume retailers. Traveling was a chore but fun at times. Working with and building relationships with customers was the rewarding part. Making a nice living and taking 6 weeks off at a time had its benefits, but children came into my life and I wanted to be home with them. Being a 'Dad' at home and making a living was my dream. I've been online since 93 (yeah, way back then) and saw the future of the Internet coming. Late in 96 I decided to stick my toes in the water (so to speak) and started GlobalJewelry.com. Travelling the Southeastern states for 23 years grew old and I was looking for a change. When our daughter came home I stopped travelling. The factories I represented couldn't believe I just walked away from the income I was making and that was back in 1997. It took me three and a half years to make the leap from the road to cyberspace and I never looked back. Unusual and unique quality jewelry was my idea for a website and that's why you won't find many generic products offered on GlobalJewelry.com or on ebay from me.
