At the moment I am not accepting any due to time constraints with current commissions and works in progress. Sometimes I will create original paintings that are very similar to those that sold, if I feel inspired to do so, and place them up for auction. Sometimes I do not. If you really like a particular painting, please keep this in mind when deciding "to bid or not to bid, that is the question!" ... ok, I know I know, very tacky, but I just couldn't resist :) Offers to purchase: Unless there is a buy it now option already attached to an auction, unfortunately, once an original painting is listed up for auction, I can not cancel it in favor of an offer to purchase outright as many people have it placed on their watch list in the hopes of trying to bid at the end. I appreciate your understanding in advance and apologize for any inconvenience Reserves: All my paintings have a minimum set reserve. If there is also a buy it now price, the reserve is usually lower then that price. Some people don't want to wait till the auction close or take a chance with being outbid at the last moment and prefer to just use a buy it now. The reserves are by no means the price or value of the original artwork keeping in mind: #1 I offer Free shipping and packaging (which are not free for me, and I don't I sacrifice on the custom sized packaging) #2 I use only top quality professional artist canvas, acrylic and oil paint, and many other different mediums - Talk about sticker shock! If you have ever been inside any art store then you can understand what I mean, and most of the materials inside art stores don't compare to the materials I use which are purchased elsewhere. Given the economy, I have experienced first hand the poor quality of items I purchase in my personal life due to companies cutting corners wherever they can. I choose NOT to do that with my art in order to save a few bucks at the expense of the quality of my artwork. #3 eBay and PayPal fees So the reserves are there to serve as minimum protection, basically to prevent a loss on all the costs involved in 1 original painting listing on eBay. In case of site outages or unforeseen circumstances, and the reserves are WELL under the true value of an original painting. I do not keep reserves a secret, you can always email me and ask. If a reserve is not met on a certain painting, it goes up in my eBay store for its regular buy it now price, as well as listed in several online galleries and gets sold on a first come first serve basis.
