My ME page is now
pretty much my "blog". I think it's a good read and I don't want to
delete old information.
If you're in a rush and want to know just the basics without the long
read...
Know this - I take pride in being an old-style-eBay clutter seller. The times
may have changed, but I haven't.
I treat buyers with the respect and courtesy they deserve. If buyers didn't
exist, there could be no sellers!
I want you to have a great experience buying so you won't want to leave eBay.
I guarantee that you will not be disappointed in buying from me and
if you feel
like you have even the slightest bit of disappointment -
let me know!

If you're looking to kill time and read about my life...
I haven't regretted
moving to the middle of nowhere. I don't miss Southern California.
I love
it here! I love my forest and the forest critters.
What I don't love is people tossing their dogs out like trash. I will never get
used to it.
We recently found this little guy "Timber" at the cemetery on the end of my dirt road.
He
was starving, cold and infested with parasites.
Whoever dumped him had to drive 4 miles out of their way to let him
starve to death or be eaten by predators.

I now have FOUR dogs!
I didn't sign up for four dogs but I love them all to pieces.
(Buy from me so I
can pay for their food! LOL!)
With great sadness, I am back down to three...

Dixie was shot and killed by an evil and cowardly man that wanted to kill deer. Her biggest crime was that she wanted to be his friend. Can you imagine killing a dog in order to be able to kill deer? I can't. I will forever ache for her and Shiloh looks out the window for her, longing for her best friend to come back home. She was young, loving and a free spirit...

"Charlie making another one of his doggie miniatures"
Charlie passed away from Osteosarcoma on 1/2/08. He is forever missed.
,

This is Crockett, my protector. A woman offered me $10 to take him and get rid of him for her. I didn't take the money, but did take the dog...

My life has changed drastically in the last year... I have included my previous ME page that I had for 6 years so you can still see who I "was". But here is an update on who I am "now". My policies are still the same!! I want my buyers to be happy first and foremost. I want to treat you how I would want to be treated!!! I strongly believe in "what comes around goes around" (aka "do unto others") so I always treat people with the respect and courtesy they deserve. I'm still Dawn! But now I am a former city girl living out in the boonies of Tennessee. I rented a U-haul & brought all my stuff with me. I hope to find good homes for everything. The pack-rat gene ran in my family but with a little help from those clean up shows on cable I am learning to let go. I've managed to get everything into a single 12 x 10 foot room & one day it will be empty! (I hope?!??!) My closets and cabinets are now clean and organized, I no longer have a garage, and once that room is emptied out I guess I will be done. (Or will I??) In between selling random stuff on eBay, Charlie The Dobie and I have been making minature polymer dog figurines. If you want to suggest a breed for him to work on, just send him a message through eBay.
"Where We Live Now"
My essay on me finding abandoned puppies on roads in the country Charlie and I said Goodbye to
our best friends Merlin and Iggy before we moved to Tennessee. Iggy was almost
16 years old and it was her time to go to the Rainbow Bridge. Merlin went to live
with his “Father” per the divorce agreement. He was soon put to sleep
without my consent. My only solace is that he is with Iggy.
In as much as Charlie loved his new
acreage, he was missing his friends. It was evident every day, as he appeared to
become lonelier. On April 17 we
found Dixie. She was stranded on the highway at 5am. We opened the door to our
car and the door to our hearts. A chance encounter, a chance of a lifetime. She
has been a joy to know. She is a free spirit, but she has learned to be
affectionate and to accept humans as her ally. She reminds of us a bunny when
she playfully hops through the grass. We became the perfect family.
Charlie found what he was missing and Dixie found a family. Five months to the
date we found Dixie, Shiloh came into our life. While driving down the highway,
her emaciated body lifted her tiny head. We drove on past her, because we
didn’t need another dog. With all her strength she lifted herself to chase
after us. As I looked in my rearview mirror I could see the pleading in her
eyes. I also saw a semi truck about to hit her. I stopped traffic and I received
the angry blare of horns. I scooped her up into my arms. She was flea bitten,
mangy, and quite a sight. I thought I might find her a home but after one night
in our home… I knew that our home was hers. We’ve been here a year now and have found two abandoned pups. When you live in the country it is common. City folks seem to think that the dogs will somehow make it on their own or find a farm to live on. It isn’t always so. I have seen too many that did not find salvation. My heart never stops aching for the bodies I have seen. These two little girls are fortunate, but so are we. Their timing was right and it seems meant to be. If I could save them all, I would. I have the space but I lack the funds. My friend back in CA thinks this could be my destiny. I have the love, I have the space, but do I have what it takes? When I drive I scout my eyes for deer, bunnies, squirrels, foxes, turtles and frogs. I refuse to cause their deaths and am ever vigilant. I fear the next time I find an abandoned pup. One dog is a breeze, two is time consuming, and three can be overwhelming at times but a fourth? Do I have the ability to do it? Time will tell, and it is only a matter of time, I’m sure, before I find another abandoned baby... tossed out of a car and left to figure it all out on their own.
Shiloh
Dixie The following is my old ME page, established in August 2000:
AuctionDawn~ My 'Online' Garage Sale 2. I accept Paypal, money orders and personal checks. 3. I ship within 24 hours of receiving payment but I cannot ship on weekends or holidays. I always email you to let you know when I shipped and when to expect your item. 4. I try to keep shipping costs to a minimum, any handling charge is noted in the item description. (the money goes towards bubble wrap and peanuts)(not the kind that you eat - peanuts, I mean, not bubble wrap - who eats bubble wrap?) 5. I will send you an invoice for your purchase(s) through eBay's system within 12 hrs of auction close with payment information. A copy of this invoice is sent to your email address and available for viewing on your eBay Buyer's Page. If you don't get an invoice from me, it probably means that your email address is bouncing back the email or I am dead. (Since I am relatively young, it is most likely that your email is bouncing back. ) You can still view your invoice on your eBay Buyer Page. 6. A reply to my email/invoice is expected within 3 days of auction closing. If you don't reply, I will be worried whether you received my email or not (and desperately hoping that you are relatively young...)(so far, I have only had one eBayer die on me, so your odds should be pretty good that you are alive and hopefully just having computer troubles). 7. Payment is expected within 14 days of auction closing. 8. If payment is not received after 20 days (I allow room for postal error) I will file a report with eBay so I can recover my fees. This report is part of eBay's Non Paying Bidder Program and could affect your status on eBay. 9. Almost all of my items are used unless noted, please look at the photos and 'condition' section of my description and feel free to ask questions so you will not be disappointed. 10. I am human, not a meanie, so please be communicative and honest with me, I find that it makes things pleasant. 11. I usually only put one picture of the auction item on the auction page (in an effort to save fees and load faster) but if you need more pictures or want a specific close up, just email me. I will gladly send you a particular angle or close up!! 12. If you are reading this, I LIKE YOU! Thanks for paying attention to me and taking the time to get to know me! There are some pretty funky characters on the internet - I hope to be remembered as a funny, friendly character and honest seller. : )
