Hello all

 Thank you for visting. I started here in 11-02 making me a late starter on ebay..I have known about e-bay for some time before that but always thought people only sold antiques, collectables and similar stuff and nothing that would have been of interest to me. My main interest is electronic equipment since I am a Electronics buff and am a avid audiophile as well. I never thought i'd be able to find the vast variety of test equipment and stereo equiment that I have to get me totally hooked on to ebay in like no time.

How i got started.

 A friend of mine gave my AOL screen name to his nephew who has the same interests with stereo as I do and one day he contatcted me on AOL and in talking to me told me about what I could find on Ebay.. the rest is history! I was proud that in 3 short weeks I already had 6 positive feedbacks and have found items I have been looking for since I was in my teens. Now I am avidly buying and selling a varitey of neat stuff that keeps me busy!

 Recently Ebay changed their feedback rating system that only buyers are able to leave neutral or negative feedback. I feel this is an unfair change on behalf of sellers since equally there are unethical and frauduelnt activities that buyers put sellers through all the time and without being able to post these and rate feedback accordingly, other sellers cannot determine the reliability and honesty of buyers through feedback on them. Recently I had a buyer that was the high bidder on a local item I listed. He never called me to make arraingments despite numerous email contacts giving my phone number and opening up a dispute with dates showing numerous attempts for the buyer to call and pick up the item. After 5 weeks of attempts I sold the item to someone else and he immediately got upset and left me a negative. This is a perfect example as I got a negative whereas the buyer failed to meet my terms and failed to pickup the item in any reasonable period of time. Because ebay is now slanted I got a negative while he was in the wrong and there is no way for other sellers to know this since i cannot leave adequate feedback. I understand the idea but it should not be that all feedback for buyers can only be positive or no feedback. Please let ebay know how we feel since their revenue is based on us the "seller" and not so much the "buyer".
