Aunt May's Cottage
|
My new web site is: http://auntmayscottage.com
I wanted to first take this opportunity to thank all of the wonderful folks that have purchased items from me over the past two years. You are the reason I stay up nights working on those lovely items that I think you might enjoy displaying in your homes or giving as special gifts.
I've been doing a lot of research over the past 20+ years on the items displayed by our Victorian ancestors and how they were used. I've been able to develop many of those items using today's technology and the results are beautiful and useful treasures you will love in your Victorian, Cottage, Shabby, Old World or Romantic home.
Included are beaded lampshades and nightlights, rose print chair covers with matching lace trimmed table covers, table runners and placemats, teapot and wine/drinking glass cozies, unusual sachets, decorated picture frames with Victorian prints, beaded medallions, tussy mussys, nosegays and pillow shams with lots of beading and embelishments.
Most of my items are made from antique millinery and never worn vintage and new bridal and evening gowns. I love working with these lovely fabrics and admire the hand-beading and embroideries. I know many of you do also. Now, we can all have these one of a kind treasures in our homes. Check out my listings for a variety of these unusual hand made items or email me from this page to see what I am working on next.
Secondly, I wanted you all to know about my new blog. Nothing for sale on there, but there are helpful hints on decorating your Victorian Cottage home, some history on Victorian homes and decorating them, before and after photos of the restoration of Aunt May's Cottage (yes, Virginia, there really is a cottage), photos of our 1848 brick farmhouse and gardens, general musings of the day and stories from the past.
Come on over and have tea with me.
