1. I EXPECT prompt email responses. EBAY suggests 3 days. I feel that is an awful lot of leeway, but I will allow that much time. That does NOT mean those 3 days are deducted from the total amount of time you have to pay.
2. I EXPECT payment within the SPECIFIED TIME it states in the auction. 7 days does not equate to 10 days. 10 days does not equate to 15. Whatever the auction states is what is expected. **IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IMMEDIATELY, SO WE CAN TRY TO WORK SOMETHING OUT**
3. I EXPECT you to honor your bid. It is a binding contract and one in which you entered voluntarily. If you can't (things DO happen)please email me ASAP so I will know whats going on. NEUTRAL feedback is far better than NEGATIVE.
4. I EXPECT you to read the item descripton carefully and email me with questions if you are hesitant. I will get back with you ASAP. I check my email MANY times per day. DO NOT purchase an item with the thought that you can return it "just because you don't like it" or "you changed your mind." EBAY auctions cannot work that way.
5. I DONT expect, but would APPRECIATE your honest feedback. If I made you happy, say so! Your satisfaction is PARAMOUNT, and I MEAN THAT! If I dissapointed you, say that also. However, using words such as LIAR, CHEAT, THIEF, namecalling, etc. only makes the feedback giver look childish and retalitory. Think of a professional way to project your displeasure. You would be surprised at how many auctions I have refused to bid on because the seller, no matter how justified, failed to react professionally. If negative feedback is deserved, it SHOULD be given. But show some class. It will make YOU seem far more professional and fair in the end.
FROM MY SELLERS:
1. I expect prompt emails and good communication.
2. I expect prompt shipment and adequate packaging.
3. I expect a refund if the item is defective or not as described.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME:
BIDDERS
1. YOU can expect almost IMMEDIATE (same day)emails from me regarding your high bid. If you dont hear from me in a day or so, and I have not posted any notices in the auction that I will be out of town or something (yeah right, ME GO ON A VACATION? HAHAHHAHHAHhhhhhhah)you can expect that I am dead and it doesn't matter anyway!
2. YOU can expect kindness and respect from me. I will never treat you like an "ebay number" for you are not. You are a person and a customer. You DESERVE only the best.
3. YOU can expect fair shipping rates. I will NEVER, EVER gouge you or elevate shipping to profit off of you. It stinks anyways that shipping must be added to final price. However, since that is unavoidable, I have sought to soften the blow. I use brand new priority mail boxes and tape, provided to me free of charge by the post office. I have NO BUSINESS charging you more. I have seen some auctions that charge really odd amounts for "priority mail" rates. Rates I have never even heard of! If I have to purchase a special box for your item, or use a bubble mailer or some other mailer, then unfortunately I must pass that cost on to you. However, I will tell you in the auction info exactly where your shipping charges are being applied to. (Example: Shipping is 1.50 for first class postage and bubble mailer.) You can be assured it's not going into my pocket if it's a shipping charge. Again, elevated shipping charges will keep me from bidding on an item no matter how badly I want it or need it.
4. YOU can expect positive feedback from me for living up to your part of the agreement, and for positively contributing to the EBAY Community.
5. YOU can expect PROMPT shipment. If your item does not go out the exact same day payment was received, then it will go out the very next business day. YOU paid on time, and deserve your item in a timely manner as well. I will be darned if I will sit on shipment.
6. YOU can expect a refund if the item is defective or not as described. Again, please read the ITEM description CAREFULLY, and email me with questions. You cannot return an item because you "didnt like it" or changed your mind.V
6. YOU can expect late payments to be RETURNED and NEGATIVE feedback to be left. If people are allowed to pay whenever the choose, what is the point of even setting end of auction payment deadlines? Deadbeat or late bidders RUIN the auction for others, cost the seller time, money, and effort, and undermine what EBAY is all about. Such behavior WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. **NOTE** You have no control over the US Post Office. I know and understand this all too well. Therefore, if your payment is late BUT postmarked within the number of days I give to pay in the auction (will usually be 7), that is perfectly acceptable and WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Your item will be promptly shipped!
7. YOU can NOT expect me to constantly email you regarding your payment. If, after your initial email, I do not receive your payment within the specified time, I will drop you a line to let you know I will be filing a non-paying bidder alert, requsting a refund of fees, and posting negative feedback. It is YOUR RESPONSABILITY to email ME if there is a problem. I will NOT chase after you. It is exhausting, time consuming, and frustrating to send email after email with NO response, and I WONT DO IT ANYMORE. You placed the bid and you know your obligations.
SELLERS:
1. YOU can expect me to return your emails swiftly and courteously. Often I will email you befor EBAY even notifies us both of the auction's end.
2. YOU can expect your payment within YOUR specified time limits, NOT MINE!
3. YOU can expect a buyer who will NOT offer you lame excuses, hedging, or whining. If a VERY VERY RARE occurance did happen where I could not honor the bid, you can be POSITIVE it is honest and forthright. However, even in an emergency, I would almost always honor the bid anyway. The old "family crisis" is getting REALLY old.
4. YOU can expect positive feedback for doing right by me.
4. YOU can expect negative feedback for doing me wrong.
I believe the vast majority of EBAY buyers and sellers are honest and good. I am rather new to selling, and am learning much about the nature and inclinations of human beings. EBAY is a great forum for this learning experience.
So please, bid with confidence and sell to me with confidence. I will provide you with the best service I can, I will not make excuses, and I will honor you as I hope you honor me.
