ABOUT YO - I grew up in Anaheim, CA, went to an all girls high school and started my college experience at Loyola Marymount in LA.  After I decided I wanted to be an architect, I transferred to Fullerton College, then on to the University of Idaho where I met my husband.  We've been married 26 years. 

I spent 12 years trying to be a super career woman, maintaining a household, being a great wife and raising 3 children.  Finally, we were able to have me stay home with the kiddos.  I gave up my academically trained career to be at home, to volunteer at school and participate more in their lives.  When they were all in school, I took a  part-time job as a bilingual classroom assistant, but because of budget cuts these jobs were short term.

ABOUT HACIENDA AVOCADOS - We moved out into Fallbrook country on 2 acres that had 90 avocados.  I decided to start my own business, Hacienda Avocados.  In 2001, I started selling avocados from our Fallbrook farm at farmer's markets and became an expert mainly from listening to seasoned growers share their knowledge and expertise.  Thus the name, Avo_Queen.  I branched out to include kitchen items & sold at boutiques & festivals. 

ABOUT BEYOND THE VINE - Due to my husband's career change, we moved to Santa Maria in 2006 & I was thrilled to open a storefront, Beyond The Vine.  We expanded our kitchen/wine accessories and home decor. However, after 11 months it became clear that the economy was not supportive.  So we closed the store and took a haitus til the end of the year.

In January of 2008, I became a serious Ebayer and opened my Ebay store, Beyond The Vine.  The store can also be viewed at www.ShopAtYolies.com.  This site will direct you to my Ebay store when you click on an item.  With 15k of new merchandise, I have yet to fulfill my goal of having all my wares on the website.  However, I have a good start, am always adding merchandise and do take requests!!

BEYOND THE VINE INVENTORY - Kitchen accessories consist of ceramics such as soap dishes, soap dispensers, bowls, platters, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper containers, spoon rests by ACK, dipping bowls, etc.  Also, we carry kitchen timers and utensils by Norpro, cheese knives and spreaders and handcrafted spreader blocks,  Wine accessories consist of bottle openers, stoppers, bottle corks, wine bags, corkscrews, wine charms, etc.  Vases, decanters, pilsners by Badash Crystal.  Wine bottle holders by Direct Connection, Pan Asia Trading and Supreme.  Home Decor - Roosters of all shapes, materials and sizes.  Ironwork wall decor.  Candles by Ganz.  Salad servers by Evergreen.  The list goes on and on.  Please don't hesitate to ask if I carry a particular item.  Thank you for browsing!!
