Past Hobbys

I started out in 2001 to empty my garage and basement of items that I thought I would never need again after a heart attack after being in the mechanical field for over 50 years. Before long I realized that I enjoyed what I was doing on the Internet and began to purchase similar items for resale.

 

 The business continued to grow slowly until 2008 when my wife had "had her fill" of a government job that she had for over 30 years and quit. With her help packaging and book keeping we are further expanding our eBay business by trying to find more of the "unusual" items and listing more each day.

 

Now with her help I find the time to shop for more items and keep more items listed as well as sell for other people and businesses.

 

 

Both my wife PJ and I realize that eBay is a business and should be run in that manner. We purchase in quantity, new boxes, wrapping paper, bubble wrap, peanuts and what ever supplies that are needed to get your item to you promptly and without damage. I always took great care in packaging but since my wife took over that part of the job it has it has become an art. Almost all items that are paid for before 9:00 PM are shipped the next day. We do shut down when we travel and during that travel we find many of the items that we have listed. We travel to Arizona frequently and I have found that it is more practical to purchase a vehicle when there to bring our treasures home and then resell the treasures as well as the vehicle.
