I was born in 1965 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and to my dismay I discovered that I was not part of a wealthy family. I was so upset that for months all I could do was cry. After a while though I figured out that wasn't doing any good, so I settled down, dried my tears, and got on with life. My life has been alright for the most part.
I am a divorced parent of a 13yr old son, named Alex. Our home also has two rescued "kids", they are our dog- Rufus and my son's cat- Kitty. For the most part I live in my little red house, taking my son to his sporting activities or playing various sports with him. I spend my free time either drawing, or fixing the improvments others have made to my house. I have blue eyes, a small bit of grey around the edges of my dark hair, a forehead that seems to keep slipping higher, and the rest....it changes as time goes on.
I guess I am a self taught artist, unless two years of high school art counts as training. I don't paint, never learned how, I used pencils for years until I found pens. Been using them ever since, I like working with ink and I hope it shows.
My art hangs in the homes of my family and friends, and, in private collections in the U.S, Canada, Great Britain and Europe. Most of my work has ended up in landfills because when I was done with it, it was time to move on, so I would just throw it away. I have to thank a neighbor for finally getting me to think my art was something people would like.
Any questions? Contact me with them; I will answer them for you if I can.

ACEO artwork.
Most of my works are ACEO's (which stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals), and they measure just 2.5" x 3.5" in size. I also do other size pieces when I have the time, or when I take on a commission for art work.
I use stippling on most, but not all, of my artwork. Stippling is the use of dots, that blend together to shade, form detail, and show the gradual passing of one tone, or color, into another. This is a very time consuming and labor intensive style, but I enjoy it.
All of my auctions are for the artwork only. All content © Robert Lee
