I have been buying and selling on eBay since 2001, until 2007 my son and I shared an eBay site, but when mom got into selling jewelry and dishes he decided it was time I branched out and had my own site. He hadn't minded the antique furniture and things, but the jewelry didn't enhance his motorcycles, four wheelers, and parts site, so here I am on my own.
I worked in a small jewelry boutique in my younger days, but I am by no means an expert on jewelry, I just love to work on pieces that need a little TLC to be at their best, so that is how I got started buying, repairing, and selling. It is something I can do from home while taking care of my grandson, and something I enjoy.
Recently I started working on my own line of jewelry, "Barb's Brand of Beauties," simple but elegant, using a lot of natural stones and "Swarvoski crystals, glass beads, plus a few faux pieces and some whimisical pieces made with jute, hemp, 100% cotton cording, ribbons, and lace.
I also like to recycle beautiful old vintage jewelry into my creations as well, I hate to see beautiful old pieces destroyed when they can be recycled into something beautiful again.
Most of my pieces are done with goldtone, silvertone, and coppertone findings, but I do use sterling silver chains and earrings on occasion.
I'm also involved in an organization called e-vets that helps veterans, they are currently sponsoring an organization called Wounded Warriors Project. The goal is to raise $5,000.00 in donations for them, and I have started listing a few of my things with them, because 15% of their sales goes to the sponsored project.
I recently married a marine veteran so am naturally interested in these type organizations.
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile and happy selling and buying, and don't forget to say a prayer for the safety of our troops and our country. God Bless America and those who keep her free.
Have a great day and God keep, Barb
God keep is short for God keep you in the palm of his hand, and has been my signature sign off on emails and such for many years. I guess it is my way of asking God's blessing for you.
