The popular training aid company, Nedco Sports, was also founded by Nick Dixon. Dixon is a active high school baseball coach in Alabama. Dixon is the designer and patent owner of many of the most popular training products in baseball and softball. Some of Dixon's inventions include the BatAction Machine, Hurricane Baseball Machine, Hit2win Trainer, ZipnHit, and the ZipnHit Pro. The Hurricane Machine, ZipnHit, and Target Trainers are made and sold by Pro Performance Sports, Inc.

In 1999 Dixon's son's Trey and Bill, home from college, (both played college baseball) began making the BatAction Hitting Machine. Dixon started the company with $500.00 earned from working a summer baseball camp. The business was operated out of the family's garage. The Dixon's sold the first year, exclusively on eBay. The business began to grow and soon they moved it to a larger location. Since that humble beginning, the company has grown to design, make and market worldwide some of baseball's and softball's most popular and most respected training products.
