In my real life I have been a well known & respected accountant for utmost honesty, hard work in order to help individual persons deal with their personal taxes (as well as small businesses) and a lot of charity work that helps people who cannot afford the 'big fish guy' with luxurious office. You guessed it right, I hardly ever make any money, but I sleep well & I am very happy to help those in need.

My best friends are hard working German Shepherd Dogs

I was born and raised in a 'post WWII' Warsaw, Poland, amidst Frederic Chopin's beautiful music and just like him, as a young girl, I had to leave my beloved country in a hurry fearing persecution from then, communist regime. For the past few hundreds years my family devoted themselves to rescuing people from life-threatening situations fighting on all fronts various occupants at the same time. Needless to say, it all runs in my blood and eventually had brought me here, my home for the past 31 years.

I found a 'new world', beautiful place and many wonderful people, right here in America, the land of opportunities. Since I had to start from zero and did not know a single soul in this country, I worked very hard to fullfill the ultimate American Dream (my own little house), which was everything I wanted to have... my dream came true in February 1993 and I was the happiest person in the world.
And then, shortly after, a terrible accident had happened. Just as I reached for the famous 'American Dream', some lady fell asleep driving, plowing into me full speed... 14 hours reconstructive surgery on my spine saved my life, but it took the next 6 years before I was able to physically leave my bedroom on my own. 

Ever since, I have been fighting a battle against terrible chronic pain due to cervical/spinal injuries. A metal plate and 6 screws support my neck now, but the pain never goes away. They say you have to learn to live with it, but it does not come easy... You may laugh, but I have found an escape from that pain in 'smiling faces' of my dogs that came to me from often dire straight situations, and in eBay and its wonderful & friendly people. At times I get so involved that I manage to forget about the pain. My wonderful mom, who is not only very very supportive, but sacrifices herself like only mom could do and I have a handful of friends plus my own two German Sheppherds and a handful of rescued/fostered ones - they are my lifeline to the world never leaving my site and always there to help, however I still have to face fear, tears or moments of doubt. You have to know the chronic pain to understand it... however if you would like to share your experiences and thoughts, do write to me at:

'MANY, MANY THANKS'!!!

And to the man that was supposed to love me till the very end of time & help me in the time of need, Mr CL Barker, who instead left me totally helpless, took everything I had saved & cherished, left abruptly in the middle of the night, the coward that could not even face me, my (ex-now) husband of 14 years: “Good Riddens and don’t you come back no more!”

-- After all, what kind of man would cheat ruthlessly, make 2 babies with another woman & hide that fact from his wife just about all through his 14-years of marriage to her?

--What kind of a healthy/well built man would live off disabled woman, drain her accounts until she was on minus while falsly promising her to repay some day and then leave her without any means, without any help and could not even wait to cut her off his medical insurance that she so desperately needed?

-- What kind of man kicks a lying dog that beggs forgiveness not knowing what went wrong? What kind of man hits a dog across its head just because the dog did not catch a freesbee the right way? What have they ever done to deserve such terrible treatment?

I guess, there is no real answer, but only a hope for a brighter future... so far, I find my happiness in the eyes of my true four-legged friends.

My Mission & on-going dream:

Every chance I have, I rescue and help support those wonderful creatures that serve humanity with their life for a bowl of food & fresh water and a pat on a head; they are working German Shepherd Dogs, the very same we all admire for courage & great character, versatility, for their love unconditional, companionship & loyalty to the last beat of their heart, friendship & clowning in the moment one has tears in the eyes, for their unconditional trust so often betrayed by undeserving humans, for their true love & pure soul, for moments of support when noone else is around, for tears licked off baby's face, you are always in my heart & I salute you all !

I am very greatful for those goofy standing ears, long nose, almond eyes full of attention & love, for every hair dropped on the floor, constantly wagging tail & gentle licks in the morning... I wish you could have stayed longer in my life, your name forever engraved into my heart, my beautiful PUMA, DIESEL, ALEX, AXEL, ELZA, BOYCO, BARTEK and GRETA - I will always love you!
