My Reason for Living

Hi! My name is Laney and I live with my two children and loser husband in rural Upstate New York. I was an Elementary and Special Education teacher until I was diagnosed with the rarest and mostly deadliest of all breast cancers called Inflammatory Breast Cancer. I was only given a 30% chance of living 5 years yet here I am today...9 years later! I wasn't about to leave my kids without a mom so I fought with all I had and now I can proudly say that I'm a cancer survivor. Unfortunately, the cancer as well as the treatments did take a toll on me so now my immunity is shot, I have inoperable hernia, I fell and broke my leg and hip and I have lymphodema very badly in one arm. Sounds like fun huh?lol Anyway, returning to teaching was out of the question so that's where ebay came in. I love yard sales and shopping at antique as well as second hand stores so ebay was right up my alley! It has been a lifesaver for me financially and I just love selling and meeting the most amazing people on here! 

My Parents, My Kids, Chais & Me

We call our farm, "The Funny Farm" but it's basically just a *name* these days. We recently sold all of our horses that we've had for 10+ years because I so need to get my kids away from their loser father. I loved those pets of ours dearly but I've got to put myself and my precious boys FIRST for a change and there was just no other way but to sell my beloved horses. My selfish soon-to-be ex-husband hasn't worked in almost 2 years now so I gave him the ultimatum....get a job or lose your family. Unfortunately, he made the wrong choice so we're soooo outta here! I'm now trying to make as much money possible on ebay so we can move out and get a fresh start on a life of our own. It's been a long hard road so far but I'm getting so close, I can almost taste our freedom and happiness! But first, I need to sell some more stuff! So come on and check out my auctions!
