Who We Are...

Welcome to our little farm, the home of the happy hens and their friends. We provide a caring no kill home for a wide variety of chickens and other fowl. We also maintain a herd of extremely talented riding, driving and work mules. Naturally with this many happy hens we have a abundant supply of eggs in all shapes, sizes and colors. Being an artist it was only a matter of time before the eggs became my favorite medium to work with....Happy Hens was "hatched".

What we do...

It actually started a very long time ago when my grandmother presented me with a National Geographic magazine with a beautiful centerfold of Ukrainian pysanky eggs and a note "you can learn to do this". I promptly went to the refrigerator and began drawing on my mothers eggs with crayons and magic markers, today you can see the end result of all this on Ebay! Every pysanky egg I present for you to enjoy is handmade right here on the kitchen table using traditional methods and eggs from the flock. Many of the eggs feature the name of the hen that produced the egg! All proceeds from their sale go right back into the farm and its inhabitants.
