Where I Live. I love where I live because I live in a small beachside
artists community on the west coast of Florida. On any give day
you can see egrets flying overhead and landing on roof tops, herons, ibus
walking through your front yard, cormorants and pelicans fishing down at
the pier, or flocks of beautiful emerald green parrots flying overhead.
A pair of ospreys just moved in & they're incredible! What It's Like. We have several parks, a beach, a pier, picnic tables, playgrounds, and small locally owned shops, one of which also doubles as our tiny post office. When you walk down the sidewalk you may meet crafters, artisans, or several famous artists and authors that you'd never guess were famous because they act like ordinary folks. We are also a very dog friendly community! What I Do. I have a home office that's more like a jungle than an office because there are plants everywhere. During the week I write articles and prepare Chapter 7 bankruptcies for clients as I own a small paralegal firm. You'll find me at the beach nearly every weekend or heading out on a new adventure in my new little purple beach jeep. My Artsy Stuff. Living in an artsy community rubbed off on me so now I make all the shell horns (conch, Pacific & Caribbean tritons) in my store & design capiz chandeliers very special customers. My Store. This is the fun part of what I do because I love Tropical Island Style Decor and exotic sea shells. Everything is not only beautiful - most items are practical too and create a wonderful relaxing atmosphere because life can be complicated. NEWSFLASH Our new industrial arts building will have it's grand opening soon. There will be classes offered to teach people how to blow glass & use a potters wheel. Perhaps I should wait to the glass blowing class until it cools down, lol. |
