My name is Yavett and
I have been creating handmade, one of a kind (OOAK) teddy bears for
nearly three years now and I love it. Each bear has his or her own
personality, demeanor and character sculpted into the face in which
I spend a lot of time sculpting to achieve just the right look. No
two bears are ever the same, no matter what I do, they will never be
identical. Each cubs' personality immerges with the sculpting of
the face, placement of eyes, sculpting of the toes and size of his
or her nose.
I am a computer
programmer and a graphic and web designer by trade but about 4 years
ago I
changed careers ... after nearly 12 years in the computer industry I
decided to go to dealer school and am now a card dealer at a casino
(dealing everything from Roulette to Blackjack, Spanish 21, Fortune Pai-Gow, 3-Card Poker and so many more). Still, I needed something
to do in my spare time (when I wasn't spending all my extra time
with my husband of nearly 15 years) ... so I began collecting beanie
babies way ... WAY back before beanies became the "in" thing but
collecting was only fun until the hunt for the newest items was
over, so I began decorating beanies in January 1998 and to my
surprise, I found that no one was doing it and my designs and
creations were overwhelmingly welcomed ... so, I found the one thing
that I can do in my spare time that gives so many people enjoyment.
I retired from painting and decorating them in July, 2006 and began a new
line of bears - handmade teddy bears.
Please watch the slide-show above for some of my cutest little bears
- they range in size from 18 inches down to the tiniest of 7
inches. They are made from a variety of materials - faux
fur, Alpaca, Mink, Beaver, etc. Handmade noses, acrylic noses, German glass eyes, acrylic
eyes and so much heart and soul that you wont be able to resist.
Please feel free to check out my feedback or stroll through my
auctions to see what I have for sale. Enjoy and I look forward to
working with you as a new customer! Please read my auctions
before bidding, so many new (and even some veteran) eBayers don't
read the auction and after the close of the auction there are
problems, but I can only do so much as a seller, so please read
before bidding.
Feel free to call upon me at anytime, I welcome your comments and
suggestions!

~ Notes ~
Effective February 28, 2008 eBay will put certain
"changes" into effect for users of the site. Sellers will be
forced to endure yet another rate increase, most sellers on the site
are not Power Sellers and can not afford to take on another rate
increase and thus we are being forced to pass those fee increases on
to our buyers (thanks eBay for forcing us to do this) but eBay seems
to be catering to the high end sellers and essentially forcing the
small-time, mom and pop sellers elsewhere because apparently we
don't generate enough $$ for them and they are giving Power Sellers
a 5-15% discount on fee's (thanks again eBay for remembering the
small time sellers that made you what you are today). Feel free to
read all about the changes in the "Message
from Bill Cobb". So effective February 28, 2008 there
will be a handling charge included to cover certain costs that eBay
will be imposing. Sorry for the inconvenience.
