![]() Fused Glass Pendant Paintings by Pat Wilde ... Unusual Adornments for Art lovers Type " Wilde Art" in the search bar on ebay , or search seller "bebopcatt" I've been fusing and painting on Glass for about 15 years now. I have used just about every type of glass paint and enamel made. A few years ago.. I got a "little bit of lead poisoning" and had to have chelation therapy..ickkkk. So, I put away my "Unique Glass Paints" (my preferred enamels) and started experimenting with non lead paints, thermal hardening paints and enamels. Most of my pendants listed on ebay are a combination of , thermal hardening paints (low heat 350 degrees),Glass line paints, and Thompsons enamels. I will usually do the outline in high fire glass line paints, fire to 1500 degrees, then fill in the color with thermal hardening paints. About Fused Glass Fused glass is layering 2 or more pieces of compatible glass together and melting them together in a kiln. Fusing usually takes place at about 1500°f. These pendants usually have 2 or 3 layers of glass. Sometimes I add a little Dichroic Glass just to make is sparkle. I use mostly Bullseye coe 90 glass About Dichroic Glass This incredible glass was invented for the Huble Telescope. It has precious metals and oxides processed onto its surface which allows it to transmit one color and reflect another. When fused with other glass it adds an incredible sparkling dimension. I love it!! I Live in the small city of Stratford in the big province of Ontario which is in Canada. I live with my husband Kev, he pushes me to go "above and beyond" what I want to do.... and sometimes it works! I also live with my cat "Patsy Climb", who is, as our friends say "a little nasty"! She dislikes anyone who enters our home, (her domain) and usually lets them know about it by hissing, swatting and occasionally biting. She tolerates Kev (he does own half the house),but allows me the honor of being the only one she will go near...And of course.... I love her to absolute bits! As a child I loved to color and draw..I would have liked to play the piano,..but I had to fight both of my brothers for "ivory time". I always seemed to lose. Strange, they both turned out to be incredible musicians while I, sadly, can barely play a note. No..... I'm not bitter! Both of my parents were artist and musicians & they both attended the Ontario College of Art way back when Lismer of the Group Of Seven taught there ,(he taught my dad). I learned from watching both of my parents, and although my mother died when I was 9, my father was always very supportive in all of my artistic endevours, which include, Photography, Sculpture, Glass work and Painiting..
