Special Orders

I LOVE designing new mailboxes!  I started with one design and most of the rest were special orders that I added to my inventory.  I can mix and match, do any background color….the sky’s the limit!!!  Whether you want a more traditional look or a little bit of whimsy,  I’d be glad to paint it for you!  Need a larger sized mailbox???  NO problem…I paint those too!!!!  Creating YOUR special mailbox provides both of us with satisfaction so don’t be afraid to ask!

Personalization

I personalize all mailboxes for free!  Any requests out of the ordinary will be given consideration and charged accordingly.  I do recommend that you give careful thought to your personalization.  Name and house number can be added but I suggest not too much or the mailbox will look cluttered and will be too small to read.  If you want the name on the mailbox, the general rule of thumb is to add it on the sides and the house number on the door.  Most people do not want their name on the mailbox and prefer only the house number. (that’s always a GREAT choice)  Most of the time, the personalization will be painted in black on a white mailbox and painted in white on a black mailbox unless otherwise instructed….I have found these colors to be the most effective.

Maintenance

The best care I can suggest for your handpainted mailbox is to use liquid car wax.  First you need to clean the mailbox with a non-abrasive soap and soft cloth and allow to dry.  Next I suggest the liquid car wax applied yearly.  Just follow the directions on the bottle and your mailbox will look great for many years!  If you wish to wax more often, it certainly will not hurt your mailbox.

Home Décor

After many requests, I try to find time to paint other items besides mailboxes.  Whether you want Shabby & Chic or out of the ordinary, I can paint a unique piece for you!  Trays, signs, furniture, tubs….you name it!  I paint anything that stands still!!!  Be sure to take a peek inside the store for our listings of home accent pieces.  Special requests are always welcome on these items too!
